Moisture in Headlight Housing
It rained here in NJ all last weekend. The next clear day I notice my passenger side headlight housing had moisture in it. I pulled the bulb out at lunch time and parked the car in the sun to dry it out. It looked pretty clear by 5PM that day.
I've been away on business for the past 2 days. Yesterday it rained all day but my car has been parked in my driveway. I get home today only to find the headlight assy all fogged up again.
What should I do to clear this up? I'm hoping it's just left over moisture from last weekend and that I don't have a leak or crack in the assembly.
Tomorrow I'm going to take the bulb out again and leave it that way all day. I have jury duty from 2PM on and I'll try to park the car with the sun facing the car so it dries it out.
Has anybody had mositure problems with their headlights and if so how did you clear it up or fix the problem if it continues to happen.
Thanks for your input.

90% of the time its the bulb installer's fault when moisture starts to buildup in the headlight assembly. Just make sure you feel a click when installing the bulb and everything should be ok. If it continues happening as you said then who knows, maybe you do have a crack in the housing. Check all the seals and see if you have any problems. If you do see a crack then you can try fixing them yourself with a heatgun. The instructions are at www.maximadriver.com in the how2 section under how to make AE headlights. The only problem with 97-99 is that you have a plastic lense so you can easily melt the housing. 95-96 are made of glass so the only worry there is cracking the lense but its very doubtful since you would have to heat up the glass in one spot to do it. Hope this helps.
