4th gen maxima vs 300zx engine
#41
haha. WHen i first got my max, i was dissappointed because i really wanted to buy a jacked up 300zx with 190k miles and it was pearl white. Any 300zx would do. THe body kits are cheap, they are fast, TTOPS are so nice. I knew the ultimate TT was out of my price range. And the CONVERTIBLE! But my stepfather found a 95 Maxima for me and i didnt really like it. I was like, ohh, my first car is boring. It was a gle and it was white arctic pearl. I just basically felt like my car was an accord or a camry. I drove my car all stock and boring and it looked really plain. I hated my maxima. I wanted to sell it asap and get a zx. The only thing i liked was the moonroof, and the cd player. I also liked the leather. It was in perrfect condition. It was original paint and no scratched anywhere. Maximas are boring. Thats what i thought. But when i found the org, i found out about everything. i found that they are in a movie, they arent as bad as camrys and accords. The best part, i found out they got 190hp. And that i could murder civics and v6 mustangs. And i started doing stuff like intake and body kit. I got a wing, just like the r33 rouring wing. I painted my rear altz lights and they look like r33s. Im waiting for the r33 grille. I got the skyline body kit on a white maxima, and its PRICELESS. Its priceless driving next to a stock max and seeing how much I improved the cars looks. Im still planning on the z because im still a Kid and i want a toy. Plus, my back seats are never used. Maybe i could trade with a z owner that just had a baby and needs a bigger car. If it werent for the org, i wouldnt have spent so much money on my car. Hey, does anybody want to trade a 95 max for zx. 1990-96? But what i really want to do is keep my max forever, and just buy a ZX for cheap and have both of them. That, would be, priceless.

you can get a 240 for cheaper, and drop in an SR20DET, and get an S15 conversion(they make direct bolt on conversion kits), and u can run with the 300ZXTT. Its also lighter, better weight distribution in case u wanna do some road racing. Also if 4 cylinders isnt enough power, and u want a block that can make 1000+hp u can drop in a RB25. If u plan on getting a 300Z with a LOT of miles so u can fix it up and have a toy, 240 is cheaper and more possibilites, 300Z has a lot of plumbing, 2 exhaust banks, 2 TBs, etc etc etc ... takes up space in engine bay. But if u want the 300Z for its looks ... then go for it.

i heard 240s have truck engines with 150 hp. (i heard they have 10 less hp than civic si's). Thats what i heard. I like 240s, the jd spec is nice, but the US spec headlights look like camry headlights. THe angry headlights! Yeah! They have one in F and F huh. The mexican girl drives it.

a well driven 1999-2000 civic si will eat a KA 240 for breakfast. The 240SX DOES have a truck engine, which also happens to be an iron block that holds boost extremely well. There are bolt on S15 conversion kits for, S13, S14, and S14.5 240sx, in case u dont like the front end.
PS a Pathfinder uses a VQ35, so does the Maxima and 350Z, what does that tell you.
