this is a pain in the *** project
Just take of the tint from your windows but this will leave a glue on the windows. So you can take a razor and scrape of the glue or you can take steal wool pag and go at it. I used a steal wool pad on the rear window because the defroster. It didnt scratch the window or anything.

yea, just go to a straus auto or any other auto store, they have kits for removing tint, they aren't alot of cash, but becareful with the rear window, because u don't want to damage the rear defroster lines, the pros charge alot to remove the back because it is hard, just go with the flow of the lines,

Goo gone works pretty good to remove it. I have found in previous experiences that goo gone gets alot of the glue off.

funny this post to come up, I removed my back window tint last night because using the rear defrost made my tint bubble up(great job mom). It was time for new anyways since it was tinted in 97 but anyways I went to local walmart thinking goo gone would zip it right off. Nope, not a chance. It takes some massive scrubbing. But then I went back to walmart and bought "tint off" right below the "tint on" and it was still a pain to get it off but it was a lot easier than goo gone.

i had to remove my front two tints. I just used a razor blade and a whole bunch of windex and rag for the glue. I don't know what you shoud use for the back, but be careful not to rip the defrosters!

Re: Removing tint

Funny, this is brought up. I have 35% front and 20% back. Came back from our plant to offices and a cop in the parking lot was telling me that 20% is illegal in erie,pa. I had it for 8 yrs in ok and just moved here. That sucks. They are telling me $100 fine if I don't get rid of it!

20% is illegal in OK as well, move from there myself not too long ago. But police never hassle anyone about it.
I got a ticket for tint on front windows a few weeks ago. I just paid the ticket and am keeping the tint.

I am not sure if you knew this or not, but when you get pulled over for that, they only mean the front two. Well, that is the way it is in my area. Move into a major city! I find that whenever I am in Philadelphia, a lot of cars are tinted real dark. They get away with it too, because the cops don't have time, or don't care about it. In Willow Grove, they have nothing better to do in my town, so why not. There was a newspaper article in April about tint. The article quoted cops as saying mostly young kids get tint on their imports, because they think it looks cool. WTF?!?!?!?! Discriminating against kids with imports. Hell, some of the cops in the township have dark-a$$ tints on their windows. Most of them drive Fords. One or two have Maximas. One guy has a GTP. It ****ed me off, though. Anyway, take the tint off(if you got an actual ticket for it) and plead not guilty. The fine will most likely get removed(unless the cops a d!ck). Good luck
Matt
