suvlights.com wiring harness, any good?

hey, im thinkin of getting the wiring harness from suvlights.com since mine stock harness blew with my aftermarket bulbs.

so im jus wondering if they are any good, and if anyone has any problems with them.

Do they make ur headlights brighter? my bulbs are 100/80w
Would i still be able to place my stock lights back in?

thanks for the help

Supposedly, yes they are a decent product. Search would have revealed this.

Edit: That sounded more smart-@$$ than it was supposed to. Sorry.

Supa Lao-

Sweet-looking max. I have really come to like that burgundy color, and the kit and rims really do it up nice...

or you can make your own harness. there's a 3rd gen owner (craig i think) who has instructions on his site.
Why do you need a harness anyways?

because aftermarket high wattage draws more than stock bulbs. and stock socket will eventually melt. so it's a good idea to replace it with those wire harness upgrade if your running high wattage bulbs.

My passenger side ground melted on this harness after about 6 months. They never responded to my email about getting a replacement plug, I'm gonna try the one at southwestautoworks.com now.

i was hoping for something more specific. Does the whole wiring get hot? Or only the contact points between the harness and the base? Or is it between the base and the bulb?
If it's the base and the bulb, then it's probably a cheapy bulb. If it's the harness and base, then clean the contacts. If it's the wiring, I can understand an upgraded harness. As far as I know, my 80/100 MTECH doesn't get warm anywhere except the glass of the bulb.

well, ive had my $70 dollar Cuzo lights in for like more then a year and a half, and i have had no problems what so ever. Running perfectly fine, until one stop workin. So i checked it out and the harness is gone, and when i move it around, its start workin. But when i get it to work, the harness heats up real quick. So i jus ordered a harness from suvlights.com, comin in soon

if it's the plastic harness that's melting, then make sure you have good contact between the bulb and the harness.
