shaved emblems

shaved emblems

I want to shave the rear emblems off my 98 Maxima, but i dont know how to .. any suggestions on how to do it please!!!!!!!!!!
and will doing this have the possibility of scratching my paint?????

search. this has been talked about 100000000x before. (rough estimate, may be low)

if you had searched you would read that you must first get the emblems and hence their glue warm. i did mine in the summer and my car is darker so i just left it out in the sun all day long. being that its now winter, maybe a heat gun or hair dryer would do the trick.

once the glue is warm just use fising line to cut through the glue behind the emblem and remove. you will then need goo-gone or bug and tar remover along with some elbow grease to get the remaining glue off.

if you're careful and get all the remaining glue off it will look mint.
