What is the drive belt?
My friend just bought a Maxima and the guy he bought it from said the dealer told him he needs a new drive belt. What is that? Is it just a different name for another belt?

The only belts we have are the ones you see when you open the hood. Take a look at them if they are real old and craked get them replaced. I believe some cracks are OK, but any parallel crack are bad and any chipping or shredding means its gotta go.
We have a timing chain, not belt, in case you wanna ask that next.

I know we have a chain. I know we have the power steering belt and the compressor belt. I was just asking to make sure there were no other belts. Cause I've never heard of a drive belt.
