i had replaced 4 LH axle seal (thought i was puting them in wrong)seal still leaking. but i found out its my trans bearing not beening shimed right from the factory. casue my axle would move and mess up the seal.(right?) i get a whinding noise in 1st and revrse.(sometimes) im just wonder if i have to dropped the trans casue if i do im just gonna but a ACT clutch in. and what other parts should i replace?? my car has 136,000 miles. and if its something i can do at my work (work at a Ford dealer) or if i should bring it to a trans shop. cause i heard its around $800-$1,000 to be fixed at a trans shop. cause the have to be shimed right or esle its gonna happen again.
