Timing belt service interval/valve clearance

Timing belt service interval/valve clearance
Does the maxima come with a belt or chain? What's the recommended service interval? I think we have solid lifters and the clearance has to be adjusted by inserting shims? What's the recommended service interval? TIA

We have a timing chain and it should never need replacing. And I don't think there's a specific recommended service schedule for the timing chain.
