in the first second of starting my car during cold weather i hear a screetching sound which is over withing that second car starts just fine wondering if anyone else has hear of this..on another note some times i have to wiggle the key to even get it started.......

 

Screeching...check the belts. If you need to replace them I recommend OE Nissan or Bando.

 

i get the same thing on my car whenever i start it. i was told that its the starter, which makes sence. you need to take it out and greese it. i have a website where they tell you how to do it. but i cant find it right now. ill post it later.

 

Check your belt(s) tension/deflection.

I had the "screech" for a second or so after I replaced the belts with OE Nissan belts. It started a few days afterwards, I went back and found that the belts had loosened a little bit. Re-adjusting the tension silenced it and it's still quiet 2 months later

I had the same problem with my 95. As time went on it only got worse. The sound got laouder and lasted for a longer time. Nothing worked for me except replacing the starter. I got a pretty good price at pep-boys. Once I did that the noise stopped andd has not returned since. That was well over a year ago.

mine makes the screeching sound as well with cold starts....ill try the motorcave fix this weekend
