Im looking to buy a cone intake that makes a hissing turbo sound..My cousins integra has a arospeed cone intake that hisses is that normal or is there something wrong with that..has anyone heard of this.. i like the sound though.. any info about a "turbo-sounding" intake please share.. thanks ladies and gents

 

My stillen hisses. And I think all intakes for the Max hiss.

Yes, perfectly normal.. Mine didn't, until I changed my fuel filter (clogged like a ****)...scared the **** outta me when it started hissing

 

mine does the same thing and I love it.

 

specially when you go to turn the car off, and it sucks off...i love that noise

It's not gonna sound like a turbo, I can tell you that. But it does make a slight sucking/hissing sound right when you are changing gears and stepping on the gas a little.

 

yeah, mine makes the Hissing to. Its even more noticible when the car is on and your standin near the hood. its the SUCKING ABILITY! use it wisely young grasshoppa, use it wisely.

 

My experience is that a CAI will hiss louder than any other intake I have. Hiss is twice as loud when the ac is on too.

 

Can't wait to tune my car up this winter vacation. How many miles did you have on your fuel filter? I think I have about 50,1xx miles on it. (Yes, I know, I need to change it bad) A nissan dealership I went to wanted 22 + tax for it. Now I don't know where to get one cheap=(

 

I have one that hisses when you hit the gas you hear a sucking sound

I think because the cone air intake i have has a cover around the main filter and draws in air from the top
supposed to suck in more colder air than a regualr intake

Great some pictures wouldnt hurt.. what intakes are you people using.. the feedback your giving me is great.. im just not sure which intake has the greatest sucking and hissing ability...??? anything else my friends?

 

after i installed my y, the sucking sound increased incredibly....

 

so did my jim wolf so i put the stock intake back on and i got my low end back and the top end still didnt change and i have no hissing. The only thing i dont like is that i dont get that growling noise after 3500 rpm. But i like it much better now.

 

i had the JWT pop for 6 months and it never made the hissing sound, but as soon as i put in the Franckencar mid-pipe. it hisses like crazy. i don't mind it. at first i thought i had installed it incorrectly, but now i see that everyone has this.
