Suspension Question

Ever since I got my 17" rims put on I have to endure the great feeling of every little bump on the road so I was wondering if there is an suspension upgrade that I could get to get rid of that bumpy feeling?

Your tires could have a lot to do with it. I had just 17" rims with no lowering springs for a while. The ride was just barly bumpier than stock. I am running 235/45 potenza RE950's.
Is your suspension stock??

The tires you put on those wheels will make a BIG difference. The steel-reinforce sidewalls on my A520's give a intensely solid ride. Now my blah winter tires and wheels are so soft.

Well, first you should expect a little rougher ride with 17" rims. I am sure you knew that before you bought them. What tires you selected will impact how much rougher. Since you did not share what kind of tires you are running I don't know if that is the case. Your struts maybe blown, but I doubt that will really cause the harsh ride. Struts basically keep your springs from bouncing back and forth.

I got 17 inchers also and it made my ride stiffer because of the low profile tires. Yes i will upgrade my suspension to Kyb agx's with sprints im going for the lowest drop but will be alot more rougher with the stock suspension for sure. Dont mind the rough ride because of the great handling you'll get out of it.

How much air pressure are you running in your tires? How old are the struts?

It all depends on the type of tire your rolling with

Whether its a low or high of a profile depends on the factor of feeling bumps in the road, plus suspension but the key is the tire.

Re: It all depends on the type of tire your rolling with

I have 215/45 R17 91H tires on it and my struts are pretty old probably like 5-6 years.

New struts will help but not eliminate the bumps. I recommend getting KYB GR-2. I got mine at Shox.com

Did that eliminate most of the bumps and got it close to stock feel for you?

Yes/No...Ok yes, no more float feeling, small bumps no longer an issue. One the no side; I lowered the car with ST springs. They are stiff if not slightly stiffer then Eibach...so you know it when you hit large bumps.
