Some exhaust questions (Yes, I did a search)

I spent about 20 mins searching and reading through old posts and I have lost my patience.

I am getting the Universal Oval SS Magnaflow muffler. I know the one side has to be offset and the other side has to be centered. Like this.

My question is this. What is the size of the oval muffler I should be getting?

Is it a 4x9, 5x8, or 5x11? How long should it be? Should it be 14", 18", 22", or 30"?

From reading one of the other posts & personal research I think it was 5x8 and 18" long.

Thanks!

PS I'm having a brain fart is the exhaust piping 2.25" or 2.5"? Is the budget/WSP B-pipe the same size?
*Yes I did a quick search and yeilded no real results.*

18" long will fit well. But, go for the 5x11 size if it will fit (meaure the width of the OEm muffler). The larger cannister will be quieter and deeper in tone.

Yes but the 5x11 muffler only comes in 3" inlet/outlet.

I thought stock and WSP/Budget B-pipes are 2.25"?

is budget even selling bpipes through the mail? when i was doing my exhaust i was trying to get it all last spring. they never started selling them unless you were a drive-in customer. it's my understanding that both budget and wsp are 2.5" diameter. you might want to call them both up if you haven't already. i'm sure they can also tell you what muffler works better. i would use the one with proper diameter. my borla muffler is pretty small yet it works pretty good.

When I was dealing with WSP a few months back they only had the 2.25" B-pipe, and the 2.5" was supposed to be ready soon. When I bought my Budget Y-pipe a few weeks ago they also were supposed to have a 2.5" B-pipe soon. They may have them now.

they are, but any muffler shop will be able to make it fit - they have the tool to do it (and i think you should be thinking about getting a 2.5inch b pipe)
