Since cylinder 5 is on the right/rear bank, then a right or rear coil, depending on how they list them.

1999 Maxima Mileage 109000 service engine light on cannot pass inspection. Error Code P1320. Change all 6 ignition coils as suggested for $700, reset error message. Drive 5 mile, stop and restart engine SVC light come on again. Check error still P1320, reset error code. Drive 3 mile, stop and restart engine no light. Drive another 5 mile, stop and restart engine Service light come on again. check message still P1320 this is only code.

Need help.

Are there any driveability problems, or just the code? Does it start and run well?

Could be a bad condenser, crank sensor, or bad connections/harness, assuming all of the new coils are good. Could potentially be an internal ECU issue as well, but that's a long shot.

Have you taken it back to have them fix it? If you went in to have the problem fixed and it hasn't been, make them do it right.

They do not know other thing too do. May be ignition connector is bad??? Also suggested me try other company and paid the labor and fee. Because I think may not install properly or bad new ignition coil, is it possible or may be mine old ignition are all good??? Is it possible??

If new coils didn't fix the problem, and assuming none of them are defective, it is indeed possible that your old coils were fine (though being from a '99, prone to failure).

There are many diagnostic steps to take for this code, and most of the time I would also focus on the coils, but it's hardly the only thing in the circuit.

Because car did not have power or idle issue and run very smooth before. I try to pass the state inspection. Can you give me some more detail so I can tell my machican-- Crack sensor, Bad condenser, bad connector/Harneess?? Do I need to change all of them?? You are great help.

All the diagnostic procedures will be in the shop's reference information, be it Mitchell, AllData, etc. Hell, even the Haynes has a more detailed ignition system diagnostic procedure than 'replace coils'.

Have 1999 Maxima with 109k mileage. Car run smooth no idle or no rough. After spend $700 to replace ignition coil and still has code P1320. As your help. Shop refunded money for no fault ignition coil. Have other garage replace ignition coil connector harness.
Star engine running for one hour nonstop fine. After stop/rest for 2 hours, restart engine "svc engine light on" show up in 5 seconds, P1320 code again. I will try to check harness/wire worn, try to clean the connector. Any one has any suggestion. Need help.

Did you have the engine control harness replaced, or all 6 individual harness connectors for the coils?

Did you tell them to fix the code, or to replace the harness or connectors?

As I said, there's more to the diagnostic procedure than just replacing parts one after another, there must actually be some diagnosis done.
