Gas Milage
if i were you, i would try replacing the fuel filter, or try a good ole' bottle of engine/fuel injector cleaner through your tank. Do you by any chance have a hole in one of your fuel lines, or possibly a hole in your gas tank?
when i had my 5 speed 95 SE i got 32 on a 150 mile trip...used the cfruise and it was solid interstate...65-80 the whole time. I put a y-pipe and cat onto this car and there was no change in MPG, but notably better performance.
my 96 auto gets around 26 in the mix...65-75% highway. I just cleaned the TB and intake, and put in new plugs and fuel filter...hopefully it improves even more.

Thanks, your time is appreciated.

Re: Gas Milage
I have a 95 5 speed GXE and I get 25-27 mpg in city, over 30 on the highway. Keep your air pressure up, and avoid a lot of quick starts, and that should optimize your fuel mileage.
