HID install

I recently got a set of 2k2 Maxima xenons which I would like to install, what wires do I need to cut off and what wires need to be spliced with the headlight wires?

If you're trying to put 2k2 HIDs in a 4th gen it's going to take more than just wiring.

You mean you didn't do your research before buying them?

Good luck.

the problem is not mounting the bulbs thats easy i just need to know which wires need to be cut and connected.

The problem IS mounting the bulbs to the 9004 housing. You cannot just stuff HID bulbs into a housing designed for 9004 bulbs and expect good results. With the 9004 HID conversion kits, they try to match the focal point of light from the HID capsules right were the low beam filament would be for a 9004 halogen bulb. A few milimeters makes a huge difference. You may be better off selling the kit to a 5thgenner and getting a 9004 HID conversion kit.

2002 MAXs have separate high low bulbs, so I'm thinking its a d2r 9006 bulb and a 9005 halogen bulb. Since you have a 4th gen, its a dual filiment bulb, there are two + and one -. You have to cut the low beam + and the one -. With those wires cut, plug them into the ballast accordingly. I don't know which one is + or - on a ballast, and I don't want to find out what happens if you reverse the polarity. Good luck trying to fit them into your 4th gen. I think you are better off buying a 2002 factory service manual and buying every part in there except for the headlights and build a new car bolt by bolt =)

If money is no object to you and you want HIDs. Get the best HIDs there are available. The Philips Ultinon 6000k Kit. That will run you about 700 at www.hid4less.com . Ultinon kits are soooo nice. No green at all with a true violet hue but still white to be able to see.
