Starter Delay

When the key is turned to the start position in my '95 SE, a delay of approx 3 to 7 seconds occurs before the starter makes any noise. The battery and alternator were replaced 6 months ago. Any suggestions other than cleaning the starter terminal?
Thanks,

Could be a number of problems, anywhere from claaing your starter terminal, to a bad ignition switch, start with the easiest, like you stated, starter terminal/ground.

It's probably the solenoid for the starter going bad. SInce it's a 95, replacement of the entire assembly is probably your best bet.
