UGH - Sprint Spring/Suspension Help

All right

Here's the deal. I parked my car this morning and looked at it as I was setting the alarm and thought - Damn, the left rear looks really low, which, with Sprints is not usually the case. Then I walked around to the other side and noticed that the right rear is not nearly as low. So I'm thinking the left rear spring has fatigued already (purchased in July). If it were the shock, it wouldn't have done this, would it? HELP. Has anyone else had this problem? What springs should I go with now? God, this ****es me off.

Shocks and struts don't support any weight what so ever. They're dampers for the springs.

Park on a perfectly flat surface, make sure you have no offset weight in the trunk, and take some measurements. If the measurements are off by over ~1/4" on either side, then the spring has probably failed.

Apparently they do suck. I am on a fairly level surface right now and like I said, it acually looks good on that side. Unfortunately, it doesn't look good on the other side. I forgot to mention that I have KYB AGXs, so I don't think one of those could have already failed. Suggestions on what springs to buy next? I hate that I end up buying the same upgrades more than once.

How long can I drive on this busted spring before it blows the shock? Also, what spring do you guys suggest for a good drop? Intrax or Progress are looking pretty good to me now.

Your springs are under warrenty, you may be out shipping though, why don't you try that?

Dont worry about it i had the same problem with my sprints also i went to go cut a coil off and noticed fckin dumba$$ me installed one correct and the other one backwards. This might not be your problem but that was the reason one of mine was lower than the other. Brian

HEY! mztmg Lime lay off the Sprints.

I knew I should have gone with someone who was more reputable than sprint. I just wanted LOW. Joffe, I could care less about these springs now - I just want to save the shocks at this point.

same

I just noticed that also, being a lot lower in the back. I new can just about fit 2 fingers in the wheelwell. However, I have the Eibach/Tokiko blue's setup. If I push down on the trunk, it dips down and back up once. But if I drive, it seems a lot bumpier...someone told me that the setup with adjust with the car over time and get lower. Is this true?

u check to see if you mounted the rear shocks correctly? A simple mistake sometimes, which i dont know how to phrase it right, is that you didnt put the tophat in and its only riding on the spring and not the shock. some clean up this phrase a little better please

well that would have nothing to do with the height.. the height is still solely controlled by the springs, not the strut... What's the deal Dave?
