nissan really moves with recall

i love it. i finally got something in the mail bout the dam recall. its been how long since it was posted here? they really move quick with there notification.

i got my letter about 2 months ago and got a check about a month ago for 383 refunding my alternator.

BTW, the alternator replacement is for the following:

Applies to 1997 Maxima, the following Vehicle Identification Number Ranges:
JN1CA21D*VT218136 - 222389;
JN1CA21D*VT847525 - 877868;
JN1CA21D*VM518869 - 540253.
Applies to 1998 Maxima, the following Vehicle Identification Number Ranges:
JN1CA21A*WT300201 - 405210;
JN1CA21D*WT500001 - 615203;
JN1CA21A*WM800002 - 806538;
JN1CA21D*WM900001 - 923624.

You probably should contact them by now. I didn't get notice and I called the dealer I bought my car from and they told me to just bring it in. About a week later, I got the notice in the mail.

i wouldnt wait that long, the recall was placed b/c th cars have the potential to catch fire. i wopuld get it replaced.

DAMN IT!!! my serial number is more like 840729 or,
about 6800 Max's early!!! How can they be 100% sure on these
dates? sure, they have records for where the alternators came
from, but, I'm pretty sure I need a new one! my alternator is
going on me!

anyway, had to post-***** and vent...
