I live in the desert area of southern Arizona and I drive a 96 auto.
I'm thinking about replacing my stock intake.
I still haven't decided whether I want a pop, hybrid, or a CAI.
But my concern is actually about the weather here.
Would I benefit from installing a aftermarket intake since the weather here is always so hot?

Correct me if I'm wrong but, I figure I'd get some power gains in the upper RPM no matter what. On the other hand, I read some people saying that they acutally lost power in the lower band with an aftermarket intake. How much loss are we talking about? Would I suffer more because of the weather?

I guess what I'm trying to ask is, keeping the warm weather in mind, which type of intake should I select, if at all?

do u have an automatic or manual?

its always better to get an aftermarket intake over stock, i believe no matter which one u get, you lose a tiny bit of HP in the beginning but the gains in the up end are so much more, the lost shouldn't even be deducted....

hot weather, i think a CAI might do u best because your car will alway sbe hot and you need as much cold air as u can get....

i dunno, i'd say a hybrid....the air cant be that much cooler, that the CAI is sucking in....and the engine bay cant get THAT much hotter than it already is....
