PCV - wrong one for my 99 SE !!
I bought a Purolator PV1058 valve for my 99 SE-Limited. It is the wrong one. That is the one that the Purolator Book said at Pep Boys but the valve was clearly the wrong one. It was longer than the OEM and the end that goes into the crankcase was not the same style.
As many of you already know, changing this valve is not easy in the first place. I went to the trouble of removing the FSTB and then get the valve all the way out and I don't have the right one to replace it with. Oh well. I will get an OEM one and then replace it.
I hope this post will prevent some of you from dealing with this situation. Take care all and thanks for all the advice I have received from the org. in the past.

Did the same thing. Bought one from NAPA. It was basically the same general shape, but just did not fit in the whole like the OE one. Took it back and went to a dealership. Dealer charged me $13!!

$13?!?! Man, my PCV was $10.95 Canadian from the dealership.
I think the oil filters are ridiculously priced. They are like $10 Canadian each! The only way I ever buy them is in dozens with a discount.
Oh Yah! Why are you guys complaining about it being difficult? I did mine in literally 1 minute. All I did was move that valve looking thing out of it's mount to make more space, then used a screwdriver to loosen it, pulled it off, pushed in the new one.

I could have done the same thing but the problem was that the hose end of the valve was longer than the OEM too. This would have made it impossible to get the hose back onto the fitting at the other end without cutting it. I would rather wait and just get the OEM.
