ECU question......on a '98

What can i do in terms of upgrading my ECU on my '98 to raise my RPM limiter. I can get ahold of an upgraded ECU for a '96, but how can i use it without the CEL showing. The reason i want the upgrade is because i am gettting things together so that i can get my MEVI. Thanks for the input.

I dont think 98-99 can have the ECU upgrade... Well I think you can put one in, but the CEL will always be one...

I have a 96 ECU Im selling for cheep if you want it, to try the ECU upgrade

Let me know

Use the search feature and look for Bens speed limiter mod. It's very easy to bypass that limiter. A simple toggle switch and you can go as fast as you can!

I dont think hes looking to make his car go faster in mph... i think hes just looking to make his red line higher for when he gets his MEVI

I could swear you were the one who said their Fast Lane Performance intake allowed their max to go above 7000 rpm....

Yes I am that same guy, but when it went to 7000-7200 RPM's, this wasn't sustained. The car's engine would rev so hard and fast that making the car show over 7000+ RPM's was pretty easy. I never said that it would hold at 7000+ RPM's. This won't do me any good if the engine stops pushing with the MEVI working past the 7000+ RPM mark. Oh yeah, I said my max wouild go above 7000+ RPM's, not everyones. I need answers Mishmosh, not someone to tell me what i said several months back.
