get in your car, then close and lock all doors, then hold the lock button on the remote and put your key in and out of the ignition (without turning it) several times until the blinkers flash and its all done
takes about 2 minutes

No, you press it after wards. It goes like this

1)Get inside car, close and lock all doors

2)Quickly (but not too quickly) stick the key in and out of the ignition 6 times or until the lights blink (you will hear a clicking noise) This erases previous remote data from the memory. Keep the key inserted in the ignition

3)Turn the key to the last position (not starting engine) to turn on your power. (ac, radio, power windows, ect.)

4)while key is turned to that position, press the unlock button on remote pad. The doors will unlock. Then press the lock button, they will lock, then press and hold the trunk botton, it will open. u can do this with the alarm too but it's annoying :-D

A cool tip: While walking to your locked car, press and hold the unlock botton. The front two windows will roll down as you hold the button!
