I recently got into a car accident come to find out that there are additional damages to my car that were not caused by the accident. bought my car rebuilt. The cost to fix the extra damage is 3000. More than what it cost to just fix the damage caused by the accident. I'm thinking about suing? I want to ask is it worth it? My car was driving fine before I knew of the hidden damages. Don't they have to pass some kind of a state inspection before they sell the car?
What kind of damage? List a few so that we can get an idea. Cars only have to pass a state safety and emmissions inspection (seat belt, windshield wipers, brakes, tires, mirrors, etc.).
Check your state's local lemon laws to see if there is grounds for a lawsuit. If your car falls within the criteria, a winning suit may seem plausible. The nondisclosure of damage may be the key here, especially if you paid for a car that was supposedly clean.

They don't have to do anything but sell you a car that won't endanger you. The only way they have to tell you anything is if you ask. So you should've asked if it was in accident before.
