yes, it can be done with a little cutting and wiring. Im not sure if the GXE has the wiring buried in the fender or not? I say run all new wires to the fogs and install a small switch in the dash. I used the blank slot next to the dimmer control for my switch. The swtich looks stock and blends right in. Make sure to use atleast a 30amp fuse inline.

Nissan sells a direct plug in kit. It could not be easier. If your GXE has the security and convenience package, then the foglights are already prewired. Just order the kit (it costs $160 from Courtesy Nissan) and follow the instructions. I did just that and it was super simple. If you take your time, it will take between 1 - 2 hours for the job.

You do not have to have the S&C package to get the factory foglights. My 97 GXE does not, and it was prewired. Install is very easy...hour tops.

The kit ( which I purchased from Courtsy for 175 ) comes with a new stalk to replace your lighting stalk with...that way there is no need for a switch on the dash...much cleaner IMO.

That's odd.. when I bought my 95 GXE new I asked the dealer about fog lights and they said no b/c there is a different fascia. I know the 97 max has a fascia that is more conducive to retrofitting of OEM fogs. WOuld you have to cut the ribbed square panles out of the 95 GXE's fascia to install the fogs?

Yeah...

Cutting the ribbed part is a most, where were you expecting to put them. Anyway, is there a thread on how to do that.
