frankencar vs my own intake

hi there...im happy to tell this story, i have already finished my own intake, i made it with midpipe 3", k&n filter, hose adapters etc etc etc etc...and my friend ordered a frankencar intake for his maxima...we installed at the same time, same garage, same tools...jejejeje and after that we compare the sounds, and he almost has a heart attack jjeje when realice that my intake sound like the frankencar intake...and then .....we went to road to proof...and guesssssssssss what, we went almost the same, but my max win for 2 cars. The difference i noticed between this intakes are: ejejej$80 box of power jejeje, so dudes if you can do your own intake and want the same thing, just tried, is a cool thing to do and easy.

jejeje thats funny. an Intake is basically a 3" diameter tube with a filter stuck on it so its no suprise that your homemade intake will perform the same as a mass produced one from a company.

I did the same thing to the wifes 2K1. Really simple to do. Hardest part is welding the 3" round toube to the thin plate steel to make the mass air flow adapter. I like mine though. My adapter has a built in intake temp sensor fitting on it. I love it. Sounds like a berk! I'm sure it performs just as well.

Just because you beat your friend doesn't mean your intake was doing more. Maybe your car was just faster from the gitgo.
