I got cat-back... $260 installed

Well after long debating with my mom she decided to let me get it. I got the muffler for $160 and the b-pipe and the install for $100. Im really glad I did this instead of buying a kit which would have costed a lot more. I forgot to take my camera with me to the shop, so I cant get pictures from the cat-back, but oh well.

Its just a universal muffler made by Kudo or something. It sounds deep and mean around crusing speeds, but once I hit around 3500RPM my intake overwhelms it. My friend drove behind me on the way back and said it wasnt too loud, but it was loud. He said that if it was almost perfect and intimidating.

Kinda, but not really. I can tell a very small difference between the stock muffler and this one. Like I said the intake drones out the muffler.

The b-pipe is just a custom pipe, bent to fit then welded. No resonators and is 2.5in aluminzed piping

looks good and you can't beat the price.

just be careful that the muffler doesn't start droning while cruising.

usually, the no-name brand mufflers get louder and louder over time.

Heh... Well when that day comes I really wont care. Read the sig.
Anyway for this price... I could get 2 Greddy systems so I feel I saved some cash.
Its loud around 1000-2700RPM then I cant hear it after that. So it doest really bother me. Plus I like the fart-can sound.

hey i have the same kinda setup but with a OBX universal end. i was wondering if you lowered your car. Becouse mine was fine before i lowered it. but once i did lower it the exust pipe would slam on the rear axle every time i hit a bump.. just wondering if you have the same problem...

I had one of these "custom-catbacks" on for a while and it never fit right and always made some sort of noise over bumps. Plus the Muffler i had (apexi-n1) was wayy to loud for me. So i went back to a stock muffler, and still didnt sound right. So after a year or two of dealing with exhaust noises and fittment issues i picked up a Greddy SP catback. I couldnt be happier with fittment or with the perfromance gains from it. Not to mention it litterally took the guy 20min to install the thing, including cuttin off my old system. Plus the Greddy's bends were flawless over the rear beam and all the way up to the cat.

I can't say enough about the Greddy SP. It is just a fine exhaust. I especially love the low octave purr it makes after having just throttled it and then letting off of the gas to coast. It is a little pricey considering it is not full stainless though.

Well... I have to say that the people who installed my exhaust are awesome. Gave me a lifetime warranty on the welds, hanger ect. So if it does start bouncing or something like that, I get it fixed for free, but right now its as solid as the stock muffler. The think I love the most about it is it's not too small or too big of a tip. It sounds incredible. All my friends were like "Dude... whyd you rice out your car." When I gave them a ride they were like "Wow this thing is a ****ing beast..." It was so much fun rolling into the lot at school and just watch heads turn. Mixed with the Frankencar intake theres nothing Id want more. Loud and agressive, yet calm and suttle. But I love it, im not complaining and I still have $350 to spend on other stuff. I think imma order my Y-Pipe and get some new rear speakers. Its gonna be great... All I need to do now is pick up some shifts at work and make some money. Insurance is expenisive as hell (around $1800 a year) Grrr....

I got my muffer at my local RiceBoy shop, and got the B-pipe at the muffler shop where I got it installed. You might try calling around your area.

I'm looking into the same type of muffler you have right now. Does it matter what the length of the muffler is? I measured the stock muffler and it turns out to be 20 inches long but the one that I looked at was only 16 in, would muffler shop install make up for the loss length when they weld it onto a Budget b-pipe w/resonator? Should a get a longer tip or stick with the short?

the greddy is sweet yes, but the OBX is exactly the same except it has like a 4" diamater tip coming out vs greddy which is like 4.25 BUT OBX is like half the price of a greddy catback. Supposedly same sound if not a little quieter and the new hot market on the group deal and 4th gen forum...i just got a dam 2k1 muffler and i'm debating getting this.... stupid org will NOT let me save money

i'd go with a magnaflow or borla muffler such as the one i have. it was only $75 for the proXS. add a stainless tip and you've got a sleeper with nice big sound. i absolutely could not stand my riceboy N1 copycat muffler. it was way too loud. it was gone within 2 weeks.

I too had a custom cat-back setup consisting of a 2.5" B-pipe w/ resonator and universal OBX muffler. With my Y-pipe it was LOUD!!

This past week I bought the new OBX cat-back system.

Sure beats paying $500+ for a Greddy when this system is identical. I couldn't be happier with this setup, especially considering the SICK price I paid for it. Perfect bends, ALL polished stainless steel, excellent look, and best of all nice and quiet...
