Does anyone have a good source where I can order the factory service manual for my 96 Maxima?

Has anyone else had a problem with oil sludge in their Max, mine has 128K with oil changes every 3K since I purchased it with 17K in 96.

From Courtesy Nissan

I purchased my 96 Service Manual from Courtesy Nissan in Texas about half a year ago. Didn't cost much. With that oil problem you are talking about, is the oil appearing on misc. engine parts such as hoses or when you get an oil change there is a ton of oil that is sludge? If the oil is appearing on misc. parts of the engine, than check all your hoses. Mine leaked and it turned out a hose was cracked down the middle.....slowly leaking oil. Reply!!!

I found an On-Line source of service manuals if anyone is interested.

Regrading sludge in my oil. I do not have any oil leaks since I have owed the car...

I am considering changing brand of oil. I am also considering purchasing Nissan oil filters - the ones with the backflow preventors as I have been using Fram Tough Guards...

This fellow deals in used factory service manuals.

This is another good source of used factory service manuals:

Keep an eye on the eBay auction site. They often have manuals for sale.
