Grille for 96?

I bought grille tech grille inserts for my max a few months back and it looks sweet with the painted black nissan emblem, but now they are rusting and look like crap i sent them a letter and the said with the instructions that i have to wax or WD-40 my grille frequently to prevent this from happening. Well i didn't read that part because i didn't look at the instructions. I didn't even know they had any i means its pretty self-explainitory. They also said the 60 day rust warranty is up and they can't do anything about it. I mean like i have time to be waxing my grille every couple days. Anyway i'm not spending another $90 to get a new one from them. Anywhere else i can go where their product won't rust in a couple months? I know about the home depot grille and the trenz grille. Home depot grille is nice, if you get it right. I just don't have the patience to do it, i already tried it once. The trenz looks nice on a hooked up 97-99 max but not on a mostly sock looking 95-96 max in my opinion. Or is anybody still selling home made grills that look nice and are clear coated so they don't rust. I wnat the whole thing top, middle, and bottom. Well thats it thanks for any help you can give me.

Hey

Try painting your grill. You did say it was a 96 grille right? Paint the stock one silver. The product looks absolutely amazing. It gives the car a subtle yet agressive look. I have a dark green max and painted it silver and it could possibly be the best exterior mod I have done. Give it a try. Later

i agree with him on that one, painting it silver makes it look perfect and its really not hard to do, i painted mine last week, i also have a dark green 96 and i personally think it looks better then the aftermarket grills, i would sugest some type of clear coat on it where as i didnt and its starting to come off in the rain...but anyway just my .02

Do the Home Depot Grill. I've had mine on there for almost a year. No rust, No fading, and strong as hell. Took a bird out at 65 mph - NO DAMAGE. It took me two days (after work) to cut it out and secure it with fishing line, but is well worth it. Check the Homepage for more pics.
