Konig Wheels...Any good?

I am was looking at some Konig GTR wheels the other day and was impressed with the look. Are these wheels any good? Anyone have a set of these or Konig in general? I have neve purchased new wheels for my Max before and don't want to end up with junk. Opinions needed.

I'm reminded of the old sayin, "You get what you pay for"

but that is not necessarily true. Konig is not a bad way to go, but get a wheel that your happy with. Screw what anyone else says... wheels are like self expression. Get ones that YOU like.. not what everyone else likes..

Just do me a favor and don't get some American Racing TriStars! lol

I bought a set of 17 X 7 Konig GTR wheels 4 years ago for my 1993 Nissan Altima. I sold the car 2 years later and I sold the wheels to my sister for her 2001 Nissan Altima. I put a total of 10k miles on them and my sister put less than 7k on them. She recently hit a large pot hole and bent the right front wheel. I checked out a local wheel shop that repairs rims and they wanted $100 for a 17" wheel. I also contacted Konig to see if there was a company who sells these rims still beacuase I knew that Konig discontinued this style a couple years ago. They sent me to www.treadepot.com. A representative a Konig said that they have a deal with treadepot.com to sell them all of their discontinued wheels. I contacted treadepot.com and they gave me a price for a new Konig GTR 17" wheel for $130 plus shipping. The total was around $140. I eneded up purchasing the new wheel because I had worries of a durability or a repaired wheel.
I really like the Konig GTR style a lot. I have absolutely no regrets buying them. They really made the car look good. I have a few pictures of the wheels if someone could tell me how to post pics. (yeah I am an idiot)

I bought some 18x7.5 konig zieges for my accord(rip) and I really liked the look, made the accord stand out. Since it was a 4th gen accord (90-93) the 18's looked amazing since the body style is very conservative ( UNLIKE 7th gen fugly-accords).

Go for it!

Will I need to buy any additional hardware to install these rims? i.e. hubcentric rings, lug nuts or bolts, center caps, etc.?

i think konig is a reputable company for rims...
my favourite rim is the konig tantrum, but its kind of played out, and copied now

as for additional hardware, if you don't have a set, get some wheel locks.

17x8 Konig Caffeines here. First day of school last year I brushed a curb and scraped my lip almost all around. Besides that they look good. There's these little orange stains here and there though, what's up with that? Do rims need waxing? I hope I can get them out. Anyone else have discolored blobs on their rims?

I have Konig 18's and they're worth every penny you pay, thye're not ridiculously expensive, but they are a little heavy depending on hw big you go. They can take a beating from bumps, but that doesn't mean to not avoid the potholes, they can still bend, its just a little tougher, or at least my set are. Waxing them with Zymol can renew the finish and help protect the coat a lot from corrosive brake dust or salt.

These Konig Reigns from discout tire direct cost me 1,000.00 with Nitto tires 225/50/17 mounted and ballanced, chrome lugs and valve stems shipped to my door. The customer service is also great to work with when someone stole a center cap.

I got these because they looked similar to the SE wheels that come on the 4th gens, and have enough chrome to bring out the chrome around the doors and set off the clear corners nicely, without being overwhelming. I chose 225/50/17 because thats the size on the 5th gens which gives it a good stance without looking too aftermarket, also I can rub curbs with no worries.

Click on my profile if you want more picks of these wheels, with this tire size.

Konig Toxxin's.. 18's and they are LIGHT.

Got them cheap from a guy who blew his 240's motor.

I have hit potholes, pothole covers and just about everything else..and the rims are still ok.

I like them and would buy from them again
