Power Window Noise
Power Window Noise
I drive a 97 SE. My driver side window recently started making a slight grinding/rubbing noise when its about 3 to 4 inches from being completely lowered. No noise when it goes back up. Is this the result of accumulated dirt? If so, any easy remedies to clean the tracks? All the other windows are fine. The glass is not tinted.

Nice member name, have you?
It's probably dirt stuck down in the track. I think I recall somebody posting some kind of window lube for the tracks on here.
Use the search function and match key words like window noise, or window track.
Good luck and welcome aboard the org.

I've used a spray lubricant made by Pyroil in a red and black can. Got it from pepboys for around $4. Just spray on the tracks and repeat every 2 - 3 months.
