i'm not sure how much this topic has been brought up, but i am just wondering what's the best. that's for a 4th gen auto AND 5sp. i think the best i've heard of is 14.30's in a five sp, but that's quick. fastest max flat out i believe is like a 12.70... Don's???

I think that..>

my car is pretty fast but it also has to do with location.
I race at Englsihtown which is known for posting some of the fastest times in NHRA.

Street tires(205/65-15) in March I went 14.57 and on slicks
ran 14.36 in July...can't wait till the cold weather.

That's a tough question...

1 car that is fast one run, may be slower another run. I'll probably get flamed for this comment but just about all Max's without forced induction are the same. Why? Beacuse if you look at everyone's sigs, just about everyone has the same mods. Most of it in the end is affected by the driver.
Now, if someone does major engine reworking , that different. But I haven't heard of anyone on here with a 4th gen doing much of that.
My $0.02 ( no refunds or exchanges)

i have an auto(unfortunately) max with all the bolt on
****. My friends and i used to hold street races behind some business complexes. I raced my friend's 95 greddy turbo civic boosting at 5 lbs with a fully stripped interior,2 racing seats and a fiberglass hood(car was featured in overboost.com back in the day). I torque braked starting in first gear launching at 2000, shifting to second and drive with o/d off at 6500 rpms and beat him 4 times in a row by 1/2-1 car lengths. i had my 2-12's in my trunk that are enclosed in a heavy a$$ box. i also took off my left corner light so that i could get air flow straight into my cai. we went a little over a quarter mile cause my trap speed was a little over 100mph when we slowed down. I figure this was to his advantage cause them damn tin boxes can fly at higher speeds.

Fastest I've heard is Jeff K's car.

JimW ran what, consistent traction-limited 15.0's in his automatic Maxima? (should have been faster, but without power to the ground you're kinda helpless there...).

I believe in the pre-Maxima.org days (of maxima.ml.org), Craig B. ran 14.7 with just CAI and GReddy and Shaun Tran did 14.5's with CAI, GReddy and y-pipe... both cars were 5-speed manuals. Getting below 14.5 seems to be mostly traction issues once the power is added.

I've run a best of 14.2 (don't remember the trap) back in an October/November even in Dallas last year...

In San Antonio in June I ran a 14.5 w/o NOS...but it was like 100 degrees outside.
No NOS was used. No animals were harmed.
