steering wheel problem?

Umm it seems when I barely push on the gas, like below 2500 rpm, my sterrign wheel shakes back and forth. Like moves left and right very slowely. When I speed up, it shakes less and is not as noticiable. Is this an alignment problem. I read somewhere if you burn out it will allign your tires a little. I did that, and it went away for a little while but came back..

It can be a few things. You may need an alignment, tires may be bad, bent rims, improper tire inflation (wrong psi), etc.

drove a 93 maxima with that exact same problem it was found out later that there was a cut tire in the front. Check the roundness of your front tires b4 spending alot of money on front end work.

Definately sounds like a tire problem. Rotate front to back and see if it goes away. You could have some tread squirm going on. Thats not good.
