Power steering pump went out :(
Well, I had been getting a strange leak from right above the oil filter for about 2 weeks now. My dad took it to his shop, and they said that it was a bad radiator hose. I got the car back, and it started leaking again. So he finally took it back yesterday, and they diagnosed it as a bad power steering pump. Turns out it's gonna cost me $570 to get it fixed, and that's on a discount since my dad works there. I have about 40 bucks right now...

There are members who are parting out Maximas, check and see what they'll sell a used pump to you for. PS Pumps very rarely go out, chances are a used one will work fine. You should be able to install it yourself and save some major $$$.

ThurzNite: The radiator hose was a real leak. What confuses me is how it went from that to a power steering pump. Oh well, I trust them, after all, my dad has been working there for 12 years, I doubt that they would rip me off.
karguy: I might get a used one, and see how much that would cost. Im still in high school with no job at the moment, so I will have to see what happens. Im still trying to convince my dad to loan me the money
