Quick Battery Question?

I have an optima battery in my 99Max, I’m sure it probably doesn’t matter but I wanted to ask. The Optma battery has both side and top terminals, Can I use the side terminals to hook my audio amp 12v+ to that terminal and still use the top terminal for the cars power wire, as I am now.
Thanks

Yes you can do that. Thats part of the advantage of having an OPTIMA.

Does that option come on all the optima batteries?

I don't think so. Some are side only and some are top post only. Just depends on the size you buy. I think the bigger sized ones
include both. I bought mine at batteries plus and all of them did have both side and top terminals. Just look around. I know they are hard to find, so do your best. Otherwise use google and do a search. There are online retailers that have fair prices as long as you are able to determine the size you need. If your looking for a yellow top and need the size I can check it out for ya. I did however have to rig mine in with a block of wood because it wasn't tall enough, ohh well.

Thanks for the info. How much did you pay for your battery?

180 is what I recollect. They aren't cheap. I can get an exact number tomorrow.

Yeah that is what i noticed for the retail on them. Also i was wondering why people say that they are saving some lbs with the yellow top because i checked the specs and they weigh 43 lbs. Thats not that lite.
