H&Rs all the way, fellas. They offer a solid drop and a smooth ride. I'm not going to say "soft", but they ride way better than my Suspension Techniques or Intrax springs ever rode. You really do get what you paid for and there is something about the H&Rs that makes them a step above the competition, IMO.
BTW, most springs out there for the Maxima ARE NOT progressive in the front. Only Sprint and Intrax run progressive rates in the front. It's easy to tell a progressive rate spring from a linear rate spring, look at the coils and see if they are closer together at one end of the spring. If so, they're progressive. H&Rs are not progressive in the front and the ride is LIGHT YEARS ahead of the Sprints. I'd figure is the guys at H&R thought the Maxima needed a progressive rate in the front, they would have done it. If I want my Max to handle like a slot car, I just dial up the struts. Front progressive springs do not ride better. If anything, they're harsher. I had Intrax, I should know.
Just my opinion of course.
