Fog light modification

Anyone know a quick & easy modification to make fog light operation independent from headlights? Two reasons: (1)I would like to use fog lights without headlights, and (2)I would like to be able to use fog lights with high beam headlights. Thanks for any ideas.

There is a write up on how to have your foglights turn on when high beams are on at www.vqpower.com.

I do not know of a way to just have your fogs on and have not seen a write up here.

You may want to do some searching.

I have my fog lights wired up to run independently from my headlights/parking lights. So basically, I can have my fog lights on w/o my parking lights on. I've done redmaxpa007 too. Are you looking for that mod, or the mod to have them come on w/ your parking lights. Only problem w/ the way I did mine, is that you can leave your parking lights on, if you forget to turn them off.

I was wondering about opening my fog lights and taking out the metal cap that reflects the light and reduces glare.....

I was wondering if it would make my lighting much better and more on the road since the beam of light is just getting to leave with-out any interuption.... What do you guy's think????

The green/yelow stripe wire in these writups must have 12 volts in order for the fogs to turn on, with the factory setup it gets power from the lowbeam headlights so your fogs only work with low beams. In these writeups you connect the green/yellow stripe wire to the parking lights so your fogs will work anytime the parking lights are on. You could just as easily connect the green/yellow stripe wire to an always on 12 volt source or even better a 12 volt source switched with the ignition so you don't accidently leave them on. Someone recommended the power for the windshield wipers in another thread.

I wired to the hotwire of the AC - It's only on if the key in the car is on, therefore you can't leave the lights on with the car off. I can run the fogs by themselves and they DO stay on when I flick the brights.
