Check Engine Light-Sensor

I put a popcharger on my car today. I drove it around the block with no CEL light on. When I started it up a few minutes the CEL came on. My question is, do you take the sensor that is pluged into the original air filter box and place it somewhere close to the filter? I have the MAF plugged in but i have the other one just sitting there. I tried to search but no one said anything about the sensor location that i could understand. I know how to reset my ecu but didn't know if i should without doing something with the sensor?

Yes you should hook the "intake temperature sensor" (the one thats giving you problems i'd assume), back up to your new intake setup. Best bet is to twist tie it to something to it doesn't bounce around and break. It doesn't do much, but it will give you a cel light if its not plugged in.
