How much of difference is there between Stick Shift and auto 4th Gen Maximas
Performance wise and Value Wise?
I currently have a 95 Maxima SE fully loaded,
with leather, sunroof, spoiler, and fogs. My cousin sold it to me for a base price of 6000 witch I think is very good but then he added the Brand new 17" ROH Reflex rims and Kumho Supra tires for $800 a Stillen Rear Stray bar for 150$, and 10 cd disk changer for 150. so the total came out to 7100$ with a tranny cooler and front clear corners for free with 123k miles and its in good condition, just a few dinks on it.
I am currently looking for a 98 to 95 Stick shift maxima
Since then I put on rear red clear tails, intake, fstb, Sytem, coming close to 900 dollars. it has a left ripped axel no biggy just makes a noise when I turn rarely. and about a 2 foot scratch on the 2 side door panels.
I am thinking about selling it with the rims, cd changer, and kenwood face.
for 7000 is this a good Dand How Rare are stick shift maximas?

[/scavenger mode] If the next max you get is a 98 or above, can I have dibs on the red/clears? [/scavenger mode off]
Thanks
5 speed is much faster than an auto. Makes the car feel sportier whereas the auto make it feel a little more luxurious.
I was selling my 95 5 speed max with 120K for $4500. SOunds like a bargain compared to what you paid for yours.

Some how my car is like stick, but not really, I can make my first gear shift at around 48mph, crasyness ha, i once ot it to go from 0-60 on first, preety fast if you ask me,, Planing to do a lot to this car, when im done im getting a torque converter so it will better than stick. Go for a spd dude, its a lot faster, also when you drive with a 5spd skip 3rd every one, its the long gear duh!!! A lot ffaster 1/4 mile times then try it any one and prove me right some more... hahahahahah
Fix your axle.. if it clicks already you have damaged the axle pretty badly. It's the axle that drives the car.. kind of an important part don't you think. If you had a 5 speed I bet you would really notice some bad torque steer on acceleration or braking. I got some help from my bad axle and hit a curb one day..

can a 5spd 4th Gen beat a auto 02 WRX?
One of my friends has a 2002 5-speed WRX and I have a 1998 automatic Maxima SE. He can easily beat me from a green light, as we had raced many times like this before. There is just no way that I can beat him this way. However on the highway, when both cars are up to speed, I can win without a problem. We raced like that 4 times, and every time that I had mashed the pedal, I always saw him in the rearview mirror. There was just no way that he was able to catch up to me. But like you were asking, I am not sure if a 5-speed 4th gen would beat an auto WRX at the green light. On the highway though, the automatic WRX would not have a chance. I can bet money on that any day. The fact that I beat my friends 5-speed WRX on the highway 4 times with my stock 1998 automatic SE, does suggest something. And trust me, he knows how to shift and drive really well. He IS NOT a lousy driver.
You should have seen the reaction on his face.

Prepare to get flamed...unless you have tons of mods or he wasn't in the proper gear, it can't happen. That's my bet...he downshifted to 4th instead of third, or else he didn't downshift at all.
