got my budget Ypipe today

wassup peeps.. i need some help.. i installed my pipe today.. looks nice.. performance is definitly there.. but.. its hella loud.. my setup before the ypipe install was.. custom 2.5 b pipe with and HKS hiper muffler 2.5 inlet with 4 inch outlet.. it sounded good like that.. real smooth.. no loud gurggles.. jus a nice deep throaty sound.. now that i got the ypipe on it.. its loud as a *****.. like a ripping noise when i gun it.. and when its idle.. it sounds like a 5.0 mustang.. now question.. wat can i do? will a silencer help? how bout a resonator? let me kno wta yall think i should do.. thanks a lot.. and yes.. i tried the seach but hte server is hella slow.. so i thought itd be easier this way.. and prolly more input.. tahnks.. peace..

I was referring to the size of the canister, bigger canister= more
sound deadening material= quieter muffler.

Look into the new OBX catback everyone's raving about

It's got two resonators in the B-pipe & is said by people (with y-pipes) to give a great sounding, "not-too-loud" exhaust note, even under WOT. Plus, the price is RIGHT.

Check it out here:

Either that, or you'll have to get a separate resonated B-pipe.

Slap a resonator on the B pipe first. If still too loud, then get a stock muffler.

haight

so... my options are.. 1. bigger muffler.. or 2. resonator.. or both.. correct? so a silencer is out of the question?
