I got a 97 Max, raced an Integra on the mass pike,
SMOKED HIM, but my engine does (did) have 100k on it so when I hit 7000 RPM my ck oil light came on, when I brought to my shop I came to the realization that I spun a bearing. F#@k

Got a motor from a junkyard 64k for only $500 bucks with a one year parts+labor warranty.

how did you hit 7K? don't you have a rev limiter?

Why did you run the motor to 7000RPM? The engine peaks at around 6200 RPM if I remember correctly. And also, did you have an aftermarket chip or take out the rev limiter somehow? Maximas, from the factory, have a rev limiter of 6500 RPM, I think. Correct me if I am wrong.

7k ? Impossible unless u have a reprogrammed ecu... i can sit and bounce off the rev limiter all day long.

I will be honest, I was drunk and when I power shifted to 3rd, I missed the gear and the tach went all the way up before I got it in.
Definately a huge mistake, lesson learned: don't race when drinking.

He mishifted, that's why he spun the bearings. He might have saw 7000rpms, but it was probably closer to 9000rpms. I can only assume he somehow managed to slam his way into 1st at 65mph.
