Does Anyone know how to fix a leaky trunk
Everytime it rains my trunk fills up with water and I knw its leaking from arround the tailights it leaks from both the ligths on the car as well as the trunk. What should I do also I know the car was rear ended and a new trunk lid was put on and I suspect new tailights as well. also do the carbon fiber alezza's from procarparts.com come with mounting gaskets "that black goo"

Go out and buy some black silcone from any auto part store. Remove the lights and apply ample amount of it on the back side of the lights. Look where the old residue is and apply a thick bead on top of it.

If you think it's not just the tail lights where water is coming in, inspect your main piece of weatherstripping around the lining of the trunk (not on the lid), and the rubber bump stops. I forget how many bump stops there should be though...d'oh.
One possible way to check if the weatherstripping is weak is to take a piece of chalk and mark the whole top of the weatherstripping. Then take a hose and let water run across the rear end of the car, etc. (Or get your car washed, something of that sort). If any water is making it through the w/s, it should wash out the chalk in the areas of the leak. But I haven't performed this method so don't quote me 100% on it, just something to try.
I impulse-bought a new piece of that weatherstripping, when just my tails drip water. So if you need it, let me know.
