seafoam green from napa in the maxima

seafoam green from napa in the maxima

I saw this stuff at napa today, and it says its a fuel injector cleaner, throttle body cleaner, and you can pour it in your crankcase. has anyone used this stuff?? the guys at napa and i heard from a few other guys it is actually really good stuff.

Yeah, I heard from the Impala SS and Camaro Forums that Seafoam actually works. They only say good things about it. I plan to use it soon.

How in the hell can it clean your fuel injectors when you pour it in the crankcase? I can see the throttle body getting cleaned slightly via crankcase air being sucked in through the PCV, but the fuel injectors? Come on!

I think the keyword was 'can', not that you HAVE to pour it in the crankcase.

I put a bottle of seafoam in my tank this summer, at the same time I cleaned my TB. The guys at the parts store recommended it for a fuel-tank application over the other products they had (and it wasn't any more expensive).

*shrug*...I did a tiny bit of reading on fuel tank additives on the .org, but just enough to convince me that using an additive in general would be ok. Haven't had any ill-advised effects. Car idled real smooth afterwards, but wasn't that rough beforehand, and I did the TB at the same time, so....
