Does the y-pipe bolt right up to the rest of the stock exhaust? How is everyone running theirs with? Any noise complaints?

*PS- I'm being objective. I've had a Warpspeed, and now own a Cattman, so I'm not pushing what I have. I've seen Budget's pipe firsthand and it might not be as pretty too look at, but it get the job done and does the same function as all other Y-pipes.

And yes you'll feel the gains. I noticed a big difference in 50+MPH driving, the car pulls much more.

Thanks...you always give good anwers...I need to stay away from this site cause you guys are going to have me out there trying to race and stuff when all I want to do is drive fast....Nothing like finding a nice long bridge and giving her a good running....I think I have a need for speed

y-pipe noise?

I was also thinking of adding a budget Y-pipe. How is the noise inside the car as well as outside? with a new Y-pipe, stock cat, stock B-pipe, and new muffler, will i still get that bees in a can sound?

the budget y pipe will not give you a buzzing noise or else i would never have gotten it. it gives a low gurgle at low speed, nothing too noticable. when you floor it you will get a hissing noise that comes from underneath your ***, like high flowing air. as for performance after i got the pipe on, when dropped into first and wot the tires would just bread loose.

ONE THING WITH THE Y PIPE YOUR CAR WILL NOT BE STREET LEAGAL FOR ABOUT THE FIRST 15 MIN OF OPERATION. after that everything will be fine.

I guess I still dont know if you have to leave the battery disconnected for a period of hours or not.

I'm not sure. If you have a CEL, and pull the battery cable, does the CEL go away? If not, it's because the ECU may have an EEPROM, which would hold info even if power is lost.

I've never tried it or looked at the diagrams. Does anyone know if the ECU has some type of EEPROM?

I'd rather reset the ECU directly, and at the same time you can check for any codes (some "ghost" codes don't actually trip the CEL).
