Yup, you guessed it! More oddities with my week old 99SE-L

Hey,
I would first like to say that you guys have been a GREAT help with my journey into Maximaland. My girlfriend noticed something tonight when I got out of the car to go use the ATM. Whenever I get out, she always locks the doors for safety. Now, on the passanger side front door, when she used the **** to lock the door, all the doors locked... Then when I came back to the car, and she went to let me in, the doors would not unlock from the passanger side ****. So basically, they automaticly locked from the passanger side, but did not automatically unlcok when she fliped the **** in the open position. I do hear some sort of relay though when I flip the passenger side door to unlock in the other doors ( but they don't open) I can't understand how there is no little key button, like i have on the drivers door, on the passenger side door, to open up /lock all doors. Hell, even my accord has this. Is there something we are doing wrong?
Thanks again for all those who have answered my tedious questions

Yup, welcome to Maximaland. There is no way to unlock all doors from the passenger side. You can only lock all of the doors by flipping the switch to the lock position. I have no idea why they did that.

From what I know that sounds normal. I think mine does the same thing. As for the "key button" you mentioned, are you talking about the keypad where you type in the code, or a keyhole? (I dunno if the maximas came with that option)
If you are talking about the keypad to type a code, I dont think most cars have it on the passenger door.

Hope this helps

Chris
