Friend has new respect for maxima, I for Z28

yesterday...well everyday, my friend at my job talks so much smack about my driving skills when he never saw me drive before and worst of all, he talks super smack about maxima's, 1 because they are imports, 2 because its a sedan and i make it look like a race car, and 3 cause he has a 1975 12 second auto camaro. He knows his engine stuff and everything but he talked ish to the point i couldnt take it anymore. His cousin let him hold his bone stock auto civic and he wanted to race me thinking he would beat me cause he's a drag racer and has so much more experience than me, plus wit turns he feels (i agree) the civic would handle better (there's this nice long curvy street near our job). So first i let him take a drive in my car and let him drive my car...and after throwing it in 3rd, he realizes that maxima's are stronger than they are known to be. Third i ripped him in his civic, but thats nothing to brag about.

Also, today, my other friend brought his bone stock 94 5 speed Camaro Z28 to work and we took a drive in it around that long street. OMG, that car has so much *****, fastest car i have ever been on. I couldnt even see the tru power because from first gear to like beginning of 3rd, he was wheel spinning....he said it ran run 14.1 and i'm thinking, my car would run low 14's wit the right driver....but so far thats like the fastest car i have ever driven in...i think...i give them much respect, especially for a stock car...but dam they ugly lol.

This is to proove Maxima's, No more haterz, My freind has a 94 Z28 (Yes it has a LT1) He calls my car the Grocery Getter, so one time i pulled up next to him at a stop, we look and launch at the same time, we raced for a block and a half, I was @least 2 cars in front of him in the begining, he had one passeneger but im a heavy guy also so that matched up, he was catching but we had to slow down cause of a red light, he waisted like a quarter of his tank.

Your friend doesn't know how to drive. My 94 Z28 AUTO was significantly quicker from 0-70mph than my current Maxima is. I've beaten plenty of LT1 F-Bodies at my track only because the driver sucked, not because the F-Body was slow. Don't kid yourself into thinking you can beat LT1s from 0-70mph.

no need to get hasty, i am sure dave was not saying you were lying. but just that, most earlier auto z-28's are running mid 14's which is pretty hard for an almost stock automatic maxima to beat, so i dont think hes deniying you the win, just saying most Z's would have handed it to you in that situation, so dont think u can take them all. and if im not mistaken daves previous car was a Z28, so hes does have some expierence

Experience? Yes, I owned a 94 Z28 auto for 3 years. With a catback only, I pulled a 13.9@99mph. With an intake, y-pipe, chip, and ignition it went 13.4@104mph. In stock form or modified form, this car pulled 1.9-2.0 60 foots on street tires like it was it's job. The hole-shot (ie 0-30mph) the auto LT1/LS1s in unlike any car I've ever driven. My Maxima, which I'm pretty certain is quicker than yours, wouldn't stand a chance against my old Z28 with just a catback in a stop light match. The 0-70mph power was amazing. An auto 93-97 F-Body manual/auto, is good for easy 5.6 0-60s.

You can have all the witnesses you want, it just goes to show your friend is a worthless driver. Tell him all he has to do is hold the brake and then flash stall the torque converter a split second and then release the brake. Instant 2.0 60' which is what Maximas on slicks pull.
