traction control, heated side view mirrors, ABS

I recently bought a '95 maxima GLE, fully loaded, from a private party. Well, the guy told me it was fully loaded but I found a few days later that it doesn't have heated seats. Now I'm suspicious as to what else it may or may not have. How can I check to see if traction control, heated side view mirrors and ABS came with my car? I'll check in a little bit but I don't think I saw an ABS light come on when starting the car. Thanks for any help.

no max has traction control. some canadian 5spd models and infinity I30s have a limited slip differential tho. i think that the heated seats are part of the cold weather package. so if you dont have that, then you dont have heated mirrors. and, if you open the hood and look for a thing by the steering collumn that kinda looks like a distributor that says "nippon abs" then you have abs. also, if you have an abs light when you start your car.

WOW, that's weird, I though that leather was a requirement for heated seats. Obviously not.

if your mirrors are frozen over and you turn the defroster on, and they start to melt from the center of the mirror, then you have mirror heaters.

I have traction control on my 99 SE-L.

It came with the Limited Leather Package I got.

I think 99 was the first year Nissan had TCS available for the Maxima.

not to get off topic here, but i did have a question. do i have traction control? i have 98 gle with every single last option there is, right down to the back side airbags. as i was pulling up my driveway in the snow, and my brother was watching my tires and he said that it looked like i had posi, or traction control because when one wheel didn't work the other would spin, and so forth. i know that no max's have posi, so could it be tcs? thanks.

Yes... njmaxseltd is right. Here is the direct quote from www.nissannews.com
The Nissan Maxima, the flagship of the six-vehicle 1999 Nissan lineup, receives a number of refinements for the new model year, including the availability of Nissan's Traction Control System (TCS) for GLE and SE models equipped with automatic transmission

Ok, so when you said you didn't have leather (and that you bought two tones after market), does that mean that you put the heated seats after you bouthg the leather, or that it had the heated seat before (when you didn't have leather). I'm just curious.

I have the Cold Weather Package (which, comes in handy in Canada )

heated mirrors --> these turn on when you turn on your rear defroster.
heated rear view mirror --> doesn't exist...and, frankly, why would it?
TCS --> came in 99. You don't have TCS.
Limited Slip Differential --> Canadian Maxima's and I30s have this...
I know I do

ABS --> look for the ABS light when you start your car.

That answers those questions, don't it?

take care!

Nope But I do think heated cloth seats are rare in a Max.

Throw snow on your side view mirrors. Turn on the rear defrost. If the snow starts to melt, BINGO.

If you can get the heated seats and switches the seats bolt right in. The console hase marked areas underneath where the holes for the switches should go. I ended up tapping into the cigarette lighter for power. One of my favorite mods. I am glad I found them since I prefer cloth to leather.
