ABS light blinks constantly

ABS light blinks constantly
Hi,
I need some help guys. I have a 1995 Maxima with dual air bags. I was working on my dash yesterday, and I disconnected the driver's air bag (as suggested in the manual) to avoid an accidental inflation. Then I made the mistake or reconnecting the battery and turning on the ignition to test the radio before I reconnected the air bag's connector in the steering wheel. Now the air bag check light on the instrument panel blinks constantly after it comes on initally whenever I have the ignition on.
Does anybody have any clue to what can be the problem?
I assume there is a fault code in the ABS computer. Does anybody know how that can be deleted or the computer reset?
Thanks for any input,
Bazsu

if it says abs you might just need brake fluid or something it has nothing to do with your dash. YOu should reset the computer, its on the right behind the panel next to the gas pedal. Theres is a little screw , put the key in so all the lights inthe dash are on but dont start the car , turn the screw counter clock wise and leave it for 5 seconds , turn the screw back the way it was and take the key out , put the key back in start the car and the light should be off. if it blinks or goes back on then something is wrong.

Since then I learned from dwapenyi how to reset the AIR BAG computer. It is a neat little trick.
Thanks for your effort,

If you haven't figured out how to reset the air bag sensor, you can try what I did successfully, after getting the same info off of this site (Thanks Maxima.org).
1. Open drivers door
2. Put key in ignition until lights come on, but don't start the car.
3. Within 10 seconds, press the door switch button, located near the back of the door sill, 7 times.
4. Release the door switch.
5. You should have successfully reset the air bag computer.
6. Turn off ignition, turn back on, look for your air bag light to glow for 7 seconds, and then it should turn off.
p.s. I had to do mine a couple of times, so don't be discouraged.
