Weird incident with starting my max

Tonight when I was trying to starting the max, for some odd reason it wouldn't start. I tried like 5 times but it was struggling to get going. It looks like it was about to go but wouldn't. After shutting her down, there was a strong smell of gas left in the garage. So I went inside and told my bro. He came out and it started fine for him. There was still a strong smell of gas coming from my exhaust. My bro was telling me something about having extra fuel or gas that the engine needed to burn? .. anybody have any clue what happen. It's an auto 98 with about 65k. Do I need to do something so this won't happen again?

I dunno about starting trouble but usually when your fuel mixture is too rich (too much fuel to burn) you'll get that gas smell... And usually when that happens its the o2 sensor. Check your ecu to see if its throwing any codes, just do a search to see how or pick up a haynes manuel...The trouble shooting section in the haynes is pretty helpful anyway and its a necessary book to have around, it'll save you a ton of money in the long run.

You get that smell when gas is not being burned. I would check all the plugs and coils to be sure all is well.
