Water Problems Inside Door?

Hey guys,

I have a 1998 Maxima SE, and there is one thing that I can't figure out and worry about to this day. Here it is:

After I wash my car and dry it, I can still see water streaking on the windows. This happen only when I roll them up after they have been rolled down. For example, early Monday morning I washed my car, and today before getting on the highway, I had to roll the window down to throw change in the basket. As soon as I rolled it back up, sure enough there was water on the window. What the hell, the car has been washed five days ago, and it did not rain this whole week.

Also this happens on all windows, but if I roll them up and down a couple of times, then the water goes away. Does that mean that there is water in the door? How can I find these drain holes that are mentioned in the manual book? Can that be the problem?

This means the seals are holding water, it's normal.

If I let my car sit in the sun for about an hour after washing, it goes away.

I think you are right, because if I roll them up and down a couple of times, the windows are dry. I was gonna mention that when I wrote it. This may be a stupid question, but can that still lead to corrosion?

Don't worry about corrosion, it's just the cusion lining thats wet and holding the water.

It does drive me nuts sometimes after a nice wash-n-wax and then your friend gets in and rolls down the passenger window only to leave a big smear on it.
