Front AGX Adjustment **** Stuck and Stripped

Hi-

I was wondering if anyone has had a problem adjusting their front AGX shocks. I tried to use the little yellow screwdriver that the AGX's come with to adjust the front struts and the plastic on the adjuster **** is so weak that the screwdriver just stripped the plastic off the top. Are the top adjuster ***** supposed to be this stiff? Has anyone else had this problem? Is there an easier/better method to adjust the dampening of the front struts? Both fronts are like this. Should I use some other type of tool? Thanks.

You are pressing down before you turn right?? Push the screw down, turn and it pops back into place....

I think I read in the documentation that came with them, that you are supposed to push down before you turn, and only in one direction (ie: clockwise or counter..) but I forget which.

It doesn't matter which direction, as long as you push down on it first before turning.

Yep, all it is doing is adjusting the size of the hole so it doesn't matter which way it goes

I have a feeling someone isn't pushing their screw down first though?

You can replace the adjuster, call up KYB.

Yep,that sound like it.Alway push it down first then turn either direction then let it come up to the # with the white DOT facing the # you want to set.

Thanks...

Thanks for all the advice from everyone. I'll try pushing down harder tonight. I didn't know how far/hard down I was supposed to push on the adjuster and let you guys know if it works. The plastic adjuster screw seemed so soft and cheap that I was afraid I'd break it pushing down too hard!

Before you go home and ram it with a hammer or something. Push down firmly but you do not need a lot of force. Once it is down it will turn easily. If it is not pushed down the right way, you can and will strip the adjustment *****.
